Angelique Zi Parl was born in Athens, Greece. She started taking ballet classes and piano lessons at the age of 8.  

Besides classical ballet she studied jazz, hip hop, contemporary, modern, musical, Latin & ballroom dances.  

At the age of 12 she discovered her skills in composition and composed her first musical piece for piano. From that moment Angelique played her own compositions at conservatory concerts.

In 2003 she completed her dance studies at the Professional School of Ballet “Despina Grigoriadou” and graduated with her piano diploma and the theory of harmony with “Excellent Mark” in 2005. 

 

In 2009 she obtained the Diploma “Associate Level” in Latin & Ballroom Dances. 

 

While studying, Angelique had already started attending workshops with Greek and foreign dance teachers in ballet, floorbarre, contemporary, modern, jazz, afro, different urban styles, musical, character and Highland & Scottish Dance. 

 

From 2007 – 2012 she participated as a dancer at the "International Dance Competition Hellas" in which she always won one of the first three places.

An artist who had a great influence on Angelique because of his music, rhythm and dance was Michael Jackson. Since her early years Angelique realized how Michael’s rhythm affected her body. Driven by his moves and her admiration for his personality Angelique started studying, copying and teaching Michael’s style. 

 

For the first time Angelique presented her personal dance style “S.J.F” (Sexy Jazz Fashion) at the “Summer Dance Camp Nafplio 2013” which she also organized. “S.J.F” is a style which brings out a woman's femininity and is based on jazz techniques combined with Latin & hip hop elements. Angelique promotes this style in many workshops she teaches.
